The Bolder

The Bolder is a source of inspiration high above the spectacular Lysefjord – nearby the famous Pulpit Rock, 604 meters above sea level. An icon of the Norwegian fjords.

These mountains are filled with magical pine trees and boulders placed by the glacier when the ice age came to an end. Together with some of our very best architects, designers, photographers and artists, we have developed a very special concept in Norwegian tourism; A desire of slow travel has evoked a concept – we want to go further, do something new and do something different.

The Lysefjord is full of experiences. Here you will find Kjerag, Fantahola, Flørli, Lysebotn and not least the jewel in the crown – The Pulpit Rock. After Tom Cruise hung off this cliff in Mission Impossible 6, we all became aware of the enormous fascination Fjord Norway has in an international tourism market.

The Sky Lodges are built on one single column to minimize the footprint in the landscape. The Bolder Concept is continuously developing and growing – we strive to create a unique experience and we will continue to amaze you!
