Lysverket is a restaurant and bar located at the beautiful art museum KODE 4 in the heart of Bergen, Norway. Right next door is the concert hall, Grieghallen, and Lysverket is overlooking thepicturesque museum & gallery avenue, Rasmus Meyers Allé, the Lille Lungegårdsvannet lake, thetown square, Festplassen, the hillside, Fjellsiden, and the city mountain, Fløyen. Lysverket offers lunch, dinner, bar food and private events.
Featured in New York Times 2017 as "redefining Nordic Cuisine" Lysverket is a restaurant and bar presenting a modern Norwegian cuisine with focus on local seafood - but you will also find meat- and vegetable dishes on the menu. The restaurant offers a longer a la carte menu as well as set menus - this makes Lysverket perfect for everything from a snack, a glass in the bar, a casual dinner - or a full evening out! Under the concept "traditional dishes" Lysverket also offers a selection of Norwegian traditional dishes with Lysverkets touch.
If you are planning a larger event, you can book the entire restaurant. The capacity is up to 100 people for dinner or 120 guests for a reception.
The bar serves some of the best cocktails in town and present a focused beer selection emphasising Norwegian craft beer & domestic microbreweries. Our cocktails are mixed with our self-made juices, syrups and bitters, and we also present various local ciders and a number of local non-alcohol beverages such as our region's finest, high quality fruit juices.
In addition to our main room we also offer privat dining in our Chambre Separée that can accommodate up to 20 guests.
On the museums third floor is the beautiful banquet hall Tårnsalen where we can host receptions and dinners. The space takes up to 140 dining guests or 250 guests for a standing reception.
