Staven Gård is an idyllic farm in Namdalseid in Trøndelag. There is accommodation at the storage cage for 6-8 people. Take a look at the farm museum, join the barn, or go for nice walks in the area, and relax in the barrel sauna in the evening.
Welcome to stay in our charming storehouse from 1823. Newly renovated and furnished with old furniture in nostalgic style. Here you live rustic and simple, but in comfortable beds. In the garage next door there is a new kitchen and bathroom for our guests. Take a walk along the cultural trail that goes just past the yard, stop by our small farm museum and enjoy the evening in our beautiful wood-fired barrel sauna. Here you have forests, mountains, rivers and lakes right outside the door.
We have pleasant and social animals in the barn and out grazing. If you are curious about farm life, you are welcome to join the barn care inn the morning or evening. The calves need milk and a little extra comfort, the cows must be milked and must be groomed and kept clean and tidy. Billy farm cat would also like to be fed.
We have a wood-fired sauna on the farm that overnight guests can use for an additional fee.
The farm is located in the countryside, at the entrance to the coastal road, Kystriksveien, between Steinkjer and Bodø. It takes about 30 minutes to drive to the nearest towns, Namsos in the north and Steinkjer in the south. The farm is surrounded by beautiful nature, and makes a perfect starting point for walks in the woods, in the mountains, to salmon rivers and fishing lakes. In the winter, all you have to do is strap on your skis and enjoy a ski trail up to 20 km long. The village's highest mountain, Øyenskavlen, is fantastic for hiking.
It is possible to take day trips by car to attractions such as Namsskogan family park, via ferrata and climbing in Flatanger, "Den Gyldne Omvei" (The Golden Detour) in Inderøy, golf course, alpine center, water park, go-karting etc. We are happy to help plan activities and experiences while you are here
